Back to Fall Festival

More Fall Festival pictures.  I'm probably repeating several pictures now, but they're so cute they are worth repeating.  I hope you can see Mike and Shelly's yard and garden in some of these pictures.  They have a wonderful front yard and of course when Mike decorates for holidays it's spectacular.  Can't wait to see what Christmas will bring.  I'm sure the lady ice skater will be back.  We need to get her in the newspaper again.  Maybe I can get Mike to dress as a skater and be up there with her in the picture.  Ice skating in an East Dallas garden, how "cool" is that?  The Fall Festival was a great party.

After Party at Judy's

Barb just sent me this picture of tour volunteers, artists and garden hosts enjoying the after party at Judy's.  She had a row of tables with checker tablecloths and antique water pitchers with giant sunflowers (yes, real ones, I had to touch they were so perfect).  The food was potluck including Jeff's fabulous grilled creations.  Everyone was tired and hungry and glad to sit, visit and pat each other on the back.

Can you imagine if governments could work as together as this group does?  They would save the world and beautify it at the same time.

Vince photos from the Tour

I just found a photo of Vince and his party house.  Might be hard to recognize the party place since I've tried and tried and still it posts sideways.  At least Vince is upright.  Does he have a great smile or what?  Course with his yard, he has a lot to smile about.  When people at our garden said they had time for only one more garden, we sent them to Vince's.  He told me at the after tour party he couldn't believe the crowds.  His sister said there were still people coming well after 5:00.  You can visit his yard as many times as you like and every visit you'll find something unexpected and delightful.

I have pond envy after seeing Vince's pond.  He named every one of his fish when the boys were filming him Saturday night.  I worry I'd have to remember the dead fish's names after killing a few while trying to learn how to keep a pond going.

If you're reading this and have some pictures you'd like to share, send them to me.  I could have taken pictures the entire tour and still missed some.
