White Rock East Garden & Artisans Tour, last year

Here I am with two of my favorite people at last year's tour, but face it Barb and Lola, I blow you both out of the water with my fashion sense. So this picture deserved another time on the blog.

And since it's my blog, let me tell you where I'll be on the tour. Find me in Andie's wonderful back yard with Cynthia and Laurie:

Happy Valentine's Day - Hearts Abound III

I told you Hearts Abound around here. Here's a piece I made for the White Rock Artist's Studio Tour. The buyer is picking it up this week.

Our most important Valentine's Day gift arrived yesterday, RAIN. Forgot what it looked like. Gone now and none on the way, but thankful for yesterday. I'm sure my front yard daffodils appreciated the drink. They look like little saluting soldiers in the front garden bed guarding the house. Thought I'd pick a few and take a Valentine card and the flowers to Miss Mary's. I like to leave little gifts on her front porch. She will be surprised to find real (not store bought) flowers from my yard.

Shame Shame on Birdhouse Thief

Look at this face.  How could someone steal from this wonderful man?

I went to Lynn's Estate Sale this morning and Vince was there.  Vince told me since the White Rock East Garden and Artisans Tour someone has been stealing the darling birdhouses he has nailed to the top of his back yard fence.  SHAME SHAME on you, birdhouse thief.  What is wrong with you and why don't you leave the country?  How dare you this to Vince?  I wish a group of us neighbors had been hiding when you did this shameful act and you'd have been the recipient of our wrath.  Shame shame on you.

Now in the back of my mind I'll be worried when I open my back yard for the White Rock Lake Artist's Studio Tour in October.  Thank you for ruining my day.
