I mosaiced this bowling ball and was really delighted with it. Then I left it outside during our extreme winter weather this year. And that was the end of the tiles sticking. Lesson learned: bring some artwork inside if you're not sure it can withstand Extreme Weather.

Bowling ball mosaic

Another bowling ball I mosaiced. Though it survived several years outside, the very cold weather we had last winter made a lot of the tiles slide off. I use to enjoy the picture because it reminded me of what the mosaic ball looked like in tact. Now I enjoy it for the snow.

The homeowner on the White Rock East Garden Tour & Artisans gave me a lotus leaf last year and I cast it, painted it and put little shards of clear glass on top. The glass took forever. Sold it right away so I'd like to ask him for another leaf and paint the new one more natural. Of course this heart was suppose to be ready in time for Valentine's Day. Next Valentine's Day now. I'd like to do something similar to this but a puzzle piece. However, we must have discipline. First work on State Fair of Texas piece for the outdoor sculpture show and then can play with puzzles. Should have worked today, but Bob and I were invited to meet Martha and Steve for lunch. Couldn't pass that up.
